Edna Nolan's Obituary
Edna M. (Willis) Nolan, 78, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord and joined her beloved husband Joe on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 surrounded by her family at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Born on December 27, 1943 in Alliance, to William and Mary (Locas) Willis, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
A 1961 graduate of Alliance High School, Edna was a member of the First Christian Church.
Edna worked at Royal China for many years. She was also employed at Alliance Community Hospital in housekeeping, retiring in 2002.
Edna enjoyed sitting on her front porch conversing with the neighbors and feeding the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. She loved visits from friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kristine (Eric) Gwynne of Alliance and Kim (Fred) Fassnacht of Norton; step-son, Jeffrey Nolan of Canton; five grandchildren, Jodi (Eric) Leffler, Lauren Fassnacht, Daniel Fassnacht, Joshua (Courtney) Yoho and Jason Yoho; five great-grandchildren, Carter, Hunter, Eli, Decklynn and Lily; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph P. Nolan, whom she married on February 2, 1976 and who died on March 15, 2022; her granddaughter, Emily Gwynne; her parents; a brother, William Willis; and two sisters, Helen Wilson and Shirley Haupt.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
