Edith (Seibert) Yingling's Obituary
Edith (Seibert) Yingling, 81, of Alliance, passed on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 4:00 a.m. at Community Care Center in Alliance. Born on September 12, 1930 in Lodz, Poland, she lived in Alliance most of her life. A World War II survivor, she escaped from Poland to Germany where she met her future husband, Elmer Seibert, a Private First Class in the U.S. Army. She was employed by D-Con until her heart condition forced her to retire. She briefly was a fashion consultant in New York, a job she loved, being stylish came naturally to her. She greatly enjoyed traveling, restaurants, music and dancing. She loved life. She was most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that brought her great joy. Survivors include her daughter, Sonnja Kennedy of La Quinta, CA; her son, Daniel Seibert of Eagle Point, OR; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lyden, Danielle Seibert and Brian Cannon; two great-grandchildren, Elle and Sadie; and a brother, Charles Bernard of Alliance. Preceding her in death was Elmer Seibert; her father, Bruno Munser and her mother, Selma (Spechert) Munser Bernard; and a brother, Alex Munser. A private family celebration of life will take place.
