Edith Tasker's Obituary
Edith I. Tasker, 94, of Alliance, was called to her eternal resting place on March 2, 2025.
She was born on April 23, 1930 and lived in Alliance all her life.
She was a loving mother to Linda Kuyper of Winston-Salem, NC, Tim (Pam) Tasker of Alliance, and Lori (Jon) Peters of Alliance.
Devoted grandmother to Budd Kuyper, Carrie Kuyper, Steph (Nate) Coblentz, Ray (Caitlin) Tasker, Amanda (Hunter) Palmer and Adam (Brennah) Peters; great-grandmother to Madison Coblentz, Nichelle Kuyper, Oakley Tasker, Tate Tasker, Ava Palmer and Colbie Palmer.
Proceeding her in death was her husband, Ray Tasker; her half-brother, Bruce Laferty and his wife Mary Ann; half-sisters Joanne Coss and Bette Iden; step-sisters, Helen Munsell and Hazel Baker; and son-in-law, John Kuyper.
Edith had been a member of First Baptist Church of Atwater for 35 years, teaching Sunday school, a choir member and involved in volunteer work at the church. She was employed at Alliance Ware before leaving to start their family.
Edith, known as "Gram and Boo Boo" to her family and friends, enjoyed following her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to their sport activities and loved babysitting. She loved her "Friday night date night" with Ray. Together, they created lasting memories and exploring new places. Spending time with family is what she cherished most.
Per Edith and her family's request, a private funeral service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Entombment will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Alliance Hospice.
