Edith E. Click's Obituary
Edith E. Click, 81, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord at 9:55 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2005, at her home surrounded by friends and family. Born in East Palestine, OH on December 28, 1923, she had lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Click was a life-time member of the Salvation Army, where she taught Sunday School, lead young people s activities and was a faithful volunteer. She was a life-time student of the Bible. Edith was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and has touched many lives by her Christian example. She is survived by her children, Pat (Oakey) Phillips, Ted (Joann) Click, Kathy (Les) McBride, and Christine DeLane, all of Alliance. Her husband s children whom she loved as her own, Nellie Canterbury and Roma (Weldon) Brown, both of Portland, MI, Barbara (Roger) Dimit, Linda Berry, all of Alliance and daughter-in-law, Virginia Click of Portland, MI; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Schreckengost of Alliance and Dottie Bennet of FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil M. Click; daughter, Bonnie O Neil and Cecil s daughter, Rosalie Click and son, Kenneth Click; her parents, Edna (Dunlap) Burns and W. Theodore Shorie; two sisters, Lois Burns and Kathryn Fobean; and a brother, Robert Burns. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, November 6, 2005, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 7, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. with Major Robert E. Myers of The Salvation Army officiating. Internment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
