Eddie Mandolesi's Obituary
Eddie Mandolesi Sr., 67, of Alliance, died on Friday, May 7, 2004 at his home following a short term illness. Born in Burlington, New Jersey on November 12, 1936, he lived in the Alliance area for the past 45 years. A veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1954-1957, he was employed as a manager at Miller United Shoe Store from 1958-1969. Eddie retired from Transue & Williams after employment there from 1969-1992. Mr. Mandolesi was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Joanne N. (Francis) Mandolesi, (they were married November 12, 1955); son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Margaret Mandolesi Jr. of Alliance; son, Michael Mandolesi of Alliance; daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Glen Sutfin of San Jose, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Beth Mandolesi of Alliance; seven granddaughters, Stephanie, Megan, Morgan and Michelle Mandolesi, and Dominica, Daniella, and Breanna Sutfin; twin grandsons, Angelo and Antino Mandolesi; one great- granddaughter, Mercedes; four step- grandchildren, Joe Kilgore, Tracy (Raymond) Newton, Brittany and Cady Bukoffsky; four step great- grandchildren, Jacob, Lindsay, Cortanie and Ethan; step brother and sister-in-law, Rolland and Judy Roy of Glendale, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Carolina (Cresce) Mandolesi. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, May 10, 2004, from 10:00 - 11 :00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, May 10, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036 will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Following services, the family will gather at the home of Matthew and Beth Mandolesi at 10900 Hazelview, Alliance.
