Ed Green's Obituary
Edward Thomas Green, 68 of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at his home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on September 20, 1955, in Warren, Ohio to Claudia Green, he lived in Alliance all his life.
A 1973 graduate of Riverside High School, Edward went on to work 49 years at PTC Alliance as a crane operator and in later years a tow motor operator.
Edward was a hardworking, dedicated, family oriented man who was loved deeply by all who knew him. He had a passion for martial arts and was a fifth degree black belt, flying recreational aircraft, motorcycle rides, cars, and wood working. Edward loved spending time with his loved ones especially his grandchildren and great grand kids; he always said they made him feel like the luckiest man in the world.
Everyone who knew Ed, agreed he was the kindest person and selfless in every way. He was a true blessing for all of us to have in our lives and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his daughters, Jannifer Green of Alliance and Rebecca (Timothy) Austin-Lange of Lakewood; seven grandchildren, McKinsey (Levi) Kelley, Kelsie (Shelby) Geier, Brennan (Molly) Rohr, Kylie Gordon, Cayleigh Austin, Fallon Austin and Miley McElhaney; three great-grandchildren, Ariella Rose Geier, Liam Thomas Geier and Jace Tucker. To Edwards joy he was expecting a grandchild and also a great-grandchild early next year; sister-in-law, Janet Green; several nieces and nephews; and several special “grand-dogs”.
Preceding him in death was his wife Connie (Miller) Green, his mother, Claudia Green; two brothers, Otis Green and Charlie Green.
Per Edward’s wishes, funeral services will be private. He will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, www.st.jude.org.
