Earl J. Tolley's Obituary
Earl J. Tolley, 65, of Alliance, passed away following a year and three-month battle with lung cancer on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Born on January 4, 1959 in Canton to Earl and Shirley (Yacklin) Tolley, he lived in Louisville and was a 1977 graduate of Louisville High School.
Earl began his working career at Joseph T. Nist Health Care Center and was then employed with Copeland Oaks. He was also employed at American Steel Foundry, Moulin Products and most recently with John Krizay in Salem.
Earl couldn't wait for winter to arrive. He loved to deer hunt, watch football and NASCAR racing. He also enjoyed the summer months listening to Rock and Roll music sitting outside in the sun.
Survivors include his daughter, Sandra L. (Scott Hawk) Tolley; two sons, Joe D. (Beth) Tolley and Timothy E. Tolley; his granddaughter, Kelsea Lynn Hawk; his mother, Shirley Tolley; his girlfriend and care giver, Sue Williams; a sister, Mary Tolley; two brothers, Mike and John Tolley; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 44 years, Martha (May) Tolley, whom he married on June 16, 1979 and who died on October 19, 2021; his father, Earl Tolley; and a brother, Paul Tolley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
