Earl Lynn Chapman's Obituary
Earl Lynn Chapman, 82, of Atwater, died at his home with his family around him on Sunday, October 26, 2003. He was born in Atwater January 18, 1921, to Orva Leland and Ruby Lucille (Royer) Chapman, and was a lifetime resident of Atwater. Mr. Chapman had lived all his life on the beloved family farm where he was born. He lived a simple life, proudly keeping the grounds, tilling the land, and raising animals for his livelihood. Survivors include his brother, Roy L. Chapman of the home; two nieces, Suzi Koons of Alliance and Karen Carroll of Marlboro; six grand nieces and nephews of the Alliance area; and nine great grand nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Ruth E. (Chapman) Koons; a nephew, James O. Koons, Sr.; and a grand nephew, James O. Koons, Jr. Graveside services will be held at Marlboro Cemetery on Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Price of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, officiating. There are no calling hours. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
