Duane Anderson's Obituary
Duane M. Anderson, 83, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 4:39 am at The Orchards of Alliance in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on November 2, 1942 in Alliance to Nathaniel and Clara (Salisbury) Anderson, he lived in Alliance for most of his life.
A 1961 graduate of Minerva High School, he was a Vietnam Veteran serving our country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1036 and the DAV Chapter 50.
Duane was employed with Yellow Freight until his retirement in 1986. He pulled triples as a truck driver and logged in over 4 million miles in his 43 years of service.
He enjoyed bowling, watching Westerns and any Football game that was broadcast.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa (Randy G.) Anderson of Canton; his son, Brian C. Buehler of Alliance; and a nephew, Jeff Anderson of Canton.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Wanda (Rupe) Anderson; his parents; and a brother, Larry Anderson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 am Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Randy Payne, of Alliance Baptist Temple, officiating.
Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
