Dorothy Mae Vicars' Obituary
Dorothy Mae Vicars, 82, of Alliance, died on Monday, April 12, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Community Care Center. Born in Canton on October 18, 1921, she graduated from Alliance High School and lived most of her life in Alliance. She was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ, the Alliance Senior Citizens Center, and the V.F. W. Auxiliary. Mrs. Vicars is survived by two granddaughters, Jodee (Eric) Himmelheber of Alliance and Tina Beaugrand of Philadelphia; two great grandsons, Brock Himmelheber and Blane Himmelheber; one brother, Kenny Palmer of Ravenna; and two nephews, Kenny Reynolds of Alliance and Terry Palmer of Ravenna. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Vicars Moretti on March 25, 1988; her parents, Harry and Carrie (Schoonover) Palmer; and two sisters, Emma (Palmer) Faxon and Ruth (Palmer) Reynolds. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 :00 a.m. with Pastor Neal Mann of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park.
