Dorothy L. Stockli's Obituary
Dorothy L. Stockli, 80, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at 12:15 a.m. at her home. Born on July 11, 1923, she was a lifelong resident of Alliance. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dorothy was a registered nurse and had worked in the offices of Dr. Musselmen and Dr. Haiss. Mrs. Stockli is survived by a son, James T. Schmied of Alliance; three grandchildren, Trisha Beech, Tony Schmied, and Vincent Schmied; five great grandchildren, Vinnie Schmied, Jr., Garrett Beech, Toni Schmied, Lauren Beech, and Alisha Schmied; two nieces, Tina (LaN ave) Rice and Rosemary (LaNave) Reynolds; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence E. Larry Stockli on Jan. 12, 2001 (they were married on March 29, 1969); her parents, Prosper and Maria (La Vignia) LaNave; and four brothers, Leonard, James, John, and Tony LaNave. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling- Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, December 20, 2003, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, December 20, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery .
