Dorothy P. Stephenson's Obituary
Dorothy P. Stephenson, 85, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 2:05 a.m. at McCrea Manor. A lifelong resident of Alliance, Dorothy was born on February 21, 1921. She had worked at B & W Research for a short time. Mrs. Stephenson is survived by a daughter, Connie Murphy of Alliance; a son, Gary Stephenson of Alliance; a granddaughter, Shanda Lynn Culler of Alliance; a great-granddaughter, Jade Marie Donohoe of Canton; three sisters, Wilda Bahler, Martha Salaski, and Fama Fleming; a niece, Carol Zwick; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Givens, her second husband, Clifford Stephenson; her parents, Fred and Elsie (Keyser) Lare; a sister, Zelda Weber; and four brothers, Kenneth, Orvan, Henry, and Russell Lare. Funeral services will be held the Marlboro Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. There will be no calling hours.
