Dorothy E. (Friedman) Sexton's Obituary
Dorothy E. (Friedman) Sexton, 97, of Alliance, died on Sunday, January 13, 2008, at 4:55 p.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. She was born on March 2, 1910 in Waynesburg, and lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a 1928 graduate of Alliance High School, and also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Sexton loved baking for her family and friends and also enjoyed sewing and reading. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, MaryAnne Anderson of Alliance; a son, Daniel Sexton of Canton; six grandchildren, Natalie Drakulich, Dean Wolford, Dan Anderson, Matt Anderson, Mark Anderson and Claudette Anderson; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Stewart of Portland, OR; one brother, Maurice Friedman of Adams, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Thomas C. Sexton on January 11, 1972 whom she married on August 12, 1936; a daughter, Colette Wolford; a son, Thomas Sexton; her parents, William and Loretta (Hoffee) Friedman; and two sisters, Mary Knapp and Martha Friedman. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, January 17, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
