Dorothy Lucille (Bayles) Markino's Obituary
Dorothy Lucille (Bayles) Markino, 88, of Alliance, died on September 13, 2011 at 10:17 p.m. at Crandall Medical Center. She was born on October 6, 1922 in Marion, OH, was a 1941 graduate of Pleasant High School in Marion, and lived in Alliance most of her life. Dorothy was a self-employed seamstress for many local clothing businesses and in her pastime, she enjoyed sewing and traveling. Mrs. Markino is survived by her son, Melvin (Gloria) Sweger of Berlin Center; two grandchildren; Keith (Yvette) Sweger and Jody (Brian) Oyster; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Edna Dilsaver of Marion; two brothers, Ray Bayles of Fairborn and Glen Albert Bayles; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Markino on March 4, 1990, whom she married on May 27, 1978; her parents, Charles Earnest and Caroline Amelia (Mooney) Bayles; and three brothers, Richard, Clifford and Willard Bayles. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2011 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Quint Bryan, pastor of Sebring Evangelical Friends Church officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
