Dorothy Ruth Gang's Obituary
Dorothy Ruth Gang, 90, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at Green Meadows of Louisville. She was born on November 30, 1919 in Sebring, and lived in Alliance since 1937. Dorothy was a member of First Christian Church. She retired from the former Armours, where she was employed as a press operator for 35 years. Mrs. Gang was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and a past Pink Lady at Alliance Community Hospital. In her past-time, she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching the Steelers and listening to gospel and country music. She is survived by a daughter, Darla (John) McMath of Alliance; three sons, Charles Gang III of Alliance, Terry L. (Janice) Gang of Alliance and Gary A. (Susan) Gang of Daytona, FL; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many step great-grandchildren, and step great-great grandchildren; a sister, Emma R. Yeagley of New Castle, PA; a brother, Paul Cunningham, Jr. of CA; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Paul and Leeoda (Crow) Cunningham, Sr.; a great-granddaughter, Angela Definbaugh; and a sister, Martha Yoerns. A Memorial Service will be held at Alliance City Cemetery Chapel on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. with the Pastor Pamela Bruno of First Christian Church officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow.
