Dorothy L. Chambers' Obituary
Dorothy L. Chambers, 88, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at 7:40 a.m. at Community Care Center. Born in Glenwilliard, Pa., on January 6, 1915, she had been a resident of the Sebring - Alliance area most of her life and graduated from Beloit High School. Mrs. Chambers was a member of the First Christian Church, and a member of the Alliance Chapter #296 of the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, William E. Chambers (they were married on Jan. 31, 1951); two granddaughters, Robin Walker of Alliance and Elizabeth Murphy of Cuyahoga Falls; two grandsons, Thomas Smith of Louisville and Michael Smith of Wooster; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Tom C. Smith on December 1, 1998; and her parents, Earl and Gay (Greene) Daugherty. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27, 2003, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Craig Jones, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
