Dorothy E. Brown's Obituary
Dorothy E. Brown, 80, of Alliance, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at 6:25 p.m. at Bel-Air Care Center. Born in Alliance, on December 2, 1921, she had lived in Alliance all of her life. Mrs. Brown was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and their Altar & Rosary Society. She retired from the former Sparkle Market as a meat wrapper. Survivors include daughters, Marsha (Lynn) Dalsky of Louisville, and Sandy (Phil) Homan of St. Augustine, FL; son Jerry (Saundra) Brown of Greenwood, IN; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Agnes (Paul) Schwartzhoff of Torrance, CA; brother Alfred (Claire) Rastetter Jr. of Kent; sister-in-law Martha Rastetter of Sebring; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Leroy Brown on September 8, 2001 (whom she married on January 4, 1969); parents, Alfred and Minerva (Miller) Rastetter; and brother James Rastetter. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, October 20, 2002, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Monday, October 21, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning and the Rev. Monsignor John Zuraw, concelebrating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
