Dorothy J. Baier's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Baier, 72, of Alliance, died on Friday, February 23, 2007, at 8:55 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born on May 1, 1934 in Alliance and had been a resident of Alliance her entire life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A graduate of Alliance High School, she retired from Alliance Typewriter. Dorothy enjoyed playing Bingo. She loved her children and grandchildren, especially her lifelong friend and love of her life, her husband Don. She leaves behind her husband, Donald G. Baier, to whom she married on June 11, 1955; two daughters, Dawn (Don) Sacco of Minerva, OH and Lisa (Ron) Hayes of Ormond Beach, FL; three sons, Michael (Helen) Baier of Alliance, Stephen (Vivian) Baier of E. Canton, OH, and Donald (Tonya) Baier Jr., of Beloit, OH; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Elsie Dossi of Homeworth; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bautista and Ursula (Vecchia) Bericchia; two sisters, Velma Zucchero and Norma Morettini; and two brothers, John Bericchia and William Bericchia. A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. William Bantz officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
