Doris L. Herman's Obituary
Doris L. Herman, 82, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 2:50 a.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Born in Rittman, on June 22, 1919, she had lived in Alliance since her marriage in 1938. Mrs. Herman was a graduate of Smithville High School in 1937 and had retired from the Alliance Manufacturing Company, where she was an assembler. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and William Pieren of Alliance; two grandchildren, Kendall and Kimberly Pieren, both of Alliance; a sister, Betty R. Beery of Orrville; a brother, Harold Eggeman of Kidron; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband Melvin J. Herman on June 20, 1990 (they were married on October. 26, 1938); a son; John E. Herman in 1941; her parents, Silver H. and Bertha (Reef) Eggeman; and a sister, Roene A. Klusch. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2002, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
