Doris J. (Keller) Faverty's Obituary
Doris J. (Keller) Faverty, 85, of Alliance, died on Monday, February 18, 2008, at 8:25 a.m. at her home. She was born on May 24, 1922 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a member of the Beechwood United Methodist Church. Doris retired from Brandon's Hillcrest Marker in 1991, where she was employed as a clerk. Mrs. Faverty was active in the Cub Scouts, the Girl Scouts and in her church. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Eleanor McLaughlin of Chandler, AZ; a son, Kenneth Ray Faverty of Alliance; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Delmar Faverty on May 2, 2000, whom she married on February 14, 1942; a son, Frank Ross Faverty; her parents, Homer and Carrie (Edeburn) Faverty; a sister, Martha Faverty; and a brother, Clark Keller. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, February, 20, 2008 from 7:00 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Wallace of Beechwood United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
