Doreen S. Pinter's Obituary
Doreen S. Pinter, 88, of Alliance, went home to join her husband George, on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. at the Alliance Community Hospital. Born on September 8, 1925 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. She retired from Alliance Manufacturing, where she was employed for over 20 years. Mrs. Pinter was a member of the Alliance Senior Center, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks, the AARP, and had been active in a number of bowling leagues throughout the years. In her past-time, she enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, traveling, spending time with her family and loved animals. Survivors include her brother, Charles Dague of Alliance; several cousins; and her long-time friend, Sonja Bogusz of Colorado. Preceding her in death was her husband, George on November 17, 2007, whom she married on May 14, 1943; and her parents, William and Catherine (Salisbury) Eddy; and several aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Her funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon, with Rev. Joe Peters officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
