Donna Lee Vick's Obituary
Donna Lee Vick, 84, of Alliance, passed from this life to be with her Lord on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 7:40 a.m. at Community Care Center. She was born on November 12, 1925 in Salem and lived in Alliance most of her life. In recent years, she enjoyed spending her winters in Hollywood, Florida. Donna attended Canton South High School and received her GED in 1976. She had retired from the Alliance Manufacturing Company. A long-time member of the First Baptist Church, she loved singing all hymns. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing cards, baking and microwave cooking. In her later years, Donna enjoyed ballroom dancing. She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl (Gerry) Blubaugh of Alliance, Noreen (Wayne) Weisenburger of Homeworth and Marcia Lee of Minerva; a son, Richard Lee of Sebring; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Estel Lee in 1987; her second husband, Wilbur Vick in 1998; her mother, Velma Kelly; and a very special couple who raised her, Mr. & Mrs. D.E. Young. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
