D. James Springer's Obituary
Donald James "Jimmy" Springer, 68, of Sebring, passed away with his family at his side on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 12:02 pm at Canterbury Villa of Alliance.
Born on September 3, 1954 in Salem, to Donald R. and Norma (Taylor) Springer, he lived in Sebring most of his life.
Jim attended Pine Lake Christian Church and was a member of the Christopher Columbus Society.
A 1973 graduate of Sebring High School, he also attended Kent State University.
Jim was employed at Sarchione Auto Group for the past 11 years and was previously employed at Damon Industries.
He enjoyed listening to classic, Country music and loved to go shopping for his grandchildren.
Jim had a dynamic personality and could brighten up any room he walked in. He liked going to work at the car lot and socializing with employees and customers and was a stranger to no one.
Survivors include his former wife and caregiver of the past several months, Joanne (Sarchione) Springer of Alliance; three sons, Jason (Kendra) Springer of North Canton, Joe (Brienne) Springer of Sebring and Jon (Amber) Springer of Sebring; three grandchildren, Dominic Springer, David Springer and Alayna Springer: his mother, Norma Springer of Sebring; a brother, Tim "Charlie" (Terri) Springer of Matthews, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, Donald R. Springer; two brothers, Richard M. Springer and Terry L. Springer; and his grandmother, Hattie Springer-Debolt.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Pastor Dale Gruver, of First Church of God, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Grandview Cemetery.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Canterbury Villa Staff and the Aultman Alliance Hospice for the kindness and care they gave to Jim.
