Donald "Don" Schillig's Obituary
Donald "Don" Schillig, 53, of Alliance, died on Friday, August 28, 2009, at 12:40 a.m. at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 8, 1955 in Canton, and lived in Alliance for the last 25 years. He attended Marlington High School and was self-employed in the area of home maintenance. Don enjoyed visiting with friends and working on cars in his spare time. Mr. Schillig is survived by his sisters, Nancy (George) Linder of Louisville, Diane Schillig (Mike Ciprian) of Canton, Linda (Joe) McElroy of Alliance; sister-in-law Linda Schillig; brothers Robert (Linda) Schillig of Louisville, Patrick (Mary Beth) Schillig of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lawrence and Eileen (Burgess) Schillig; and brothers, Lawrence Schillig and James Schillig. At Don s request, private family services will be held at a later time. Interment will be at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Alliance Community Hospital.
