Donald E. Scheible, Jr.'s Obituary
Donald E. Scheible, Jr., 81, of Alliance, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 11:32 pm at his home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on May 29, 1942 in Alliance to Donald and Rose Ann (Barcus) Scheible, he lived in Alliance most of his life.
A 1961 graduate of Alliance High School, Donald was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
A veteran of the Vietnam Era, he served our country with the Military Police in the U.S. Army.
Don was employed at East Manufacturing and then Trailstar Manufacturing for over 40 years as a welder.
He was a member of the Dante Alighieri Society and a former Volunteer with the Lexington Township Fire Department.
Don was an avid Ohio State Football Fan, Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers Fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Stefanee (Raymond) Gonzales of Alliance; four grandchildren, Kierstin (Austin) Arthur, Zachary Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales and Gabrielle Gonzales; two great-grandchildren, Maverick Arthur and Rosella Gonzales; adopted son, Christopher Erdman of Canton, MI; two brothers, Jim Scheible of Lorain and Kenneth Scheible of Alliance; two sisters, Mary Ann Barker of Green and Linda (Terry) Marx of Hartville; and many very loved nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 43 years, Kathryn W. (Ashworth) Scheible, whom he married on December 28, 2002 and who died on April 13, 2023; his parents; and two brothers, Rick and Tom Scheible.
His Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Foltz Community Center in East Canton on February 9, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Entombment, with military honors, will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, in Rittman, Ohio.
