Donald William Gross' Obituary
Donald William Gross, 82, of Limaville, died on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at 10:20 a.m. at his home following a brief battle with cancer. Born on December 20, 1926 in Alliance, he lived in Limaville for 55 years. After 43 years of service, Donald retired from Transue & Williams Stamping as a die storage manager. Donald was an avid antique collector and enjoyed gardening and fishing and especially loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Norma Dale (Woodward) Gross whom he married on December 31, 1953; a daughter, Sharie (Christopher) Stranathan of Port Clinton; a son, Bradley (Stormie) Gross of Alliance; five grandchildren, Shelly Gross, Jennie Gross, Anna Stranathan, Ian Stranathan and Owen Stranathan; a sister, Sarah Kosa of Mesa AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Michael and Sarah (Snyder) Gross; a sister, Anna Binder; and four brothers, John, George, Harry and Andy Gross. There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held in October, 2009, time and place to be announced. For further information call (330) 935-0617 for schedule of services.
