Donald W. Flitcraft 's Obituary
Donald W. Flitcraft, 69, of Alliance, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, August 24, 2018.
Born on December 5, 1948 in Alliance, to Donald L. and Dolores C. Flitcraft, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
Don was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was employed at CMCO in Salem-Lisbon.
A 1966 graduate of Alliance High School, he also attended Walsh University, and graduated from Malone and Akron Universities.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served our country in the U.S. Air Force as a Combat Controller from 1970-1974.
He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #467 where he served as Past Exalted Ruler and as District Deputy.
Don enjoyed fishing, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Hardesty) Flitcraft, whom he married on July 4, 1980; his son, Paul (Fiance - Shelby Chadderton) Vesco of Louisville; three grandchildren, Dylan, Paisley and Kinsley; a sister, Dodie (Dwayne) Masters of Alliance; a brother, Daniel T. Flitcraft of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Mildred Hardesty; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Flitcraft.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, as celebrant.
