Donald Conrad's Obituary
Donald E. Conrad, 88, of Alliance, passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home in Alliance.
Born on October 27, 1933 in Alliance to Lloyd and Dorothy (Koerner) Conrad, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Sebring American Legion Post #76 and the Sebring VFW.
Donald was employed at Transue & Williams as a Die Setter for 40 years and retired in 1998.
In his retirement, he enjoyed being at the ballfield with his grandchildren which were his greatest joy. He also loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. He enjoyed “scrapping” at his shop.
Survivors include his three daughters, Persa (Scott) Gillespie of Valencia, CA, Georgia (Steve) Bench of Alliance and Constantina "Dina" Conrad-Covert of Beloit; his son, Athanasios "Sause" Lloyd Conrad of Alliance; seven grandchildren, Paighton Covert, Hayes Donald Covert, Kerstin Covert, Alexandria Gillespie, Donavin Conrad, Steven Meeks and Lia Bench; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doreen Chiles of Orlando, FL and Joyce Johnson of Sebring; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant son; and two brothers, Ralph Conrad and Ronnie Beltrami.
Private Services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sebring American Legion Post #76.
