Donald J. Carver's Obituary
Donald J. Carver, 79, of 546 S. Johnson Rd., Sebring, died on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at 12:20 p.m. at his residence. Mr. Carver was born in Deerfield on August 19, 1926, and lived in the Deerfield area most of his life. A US Army veteran, he retired from General Tire, Inc. of Akron. He enjoyed fishing with his wife and friends. Mr. Carver is survived by two daughters, Linda (Danny) Ulbricht of Alliance and Cathy (Robert) Morrison of Sebring; two sons, Kenneth (Patsy) Carver of Kensington and Harry Carver of Alliance; seven grandchildren, Kenny Jr., Missy, Danny Jr., Lori, Charlene, Billy, and Justin; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Pettigrew and Joann Stumphf, both of Edinburg; two brothers, Raymond Carver of North Georgetown and Willard Carver of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Susan (Reynolds) Carver, on March 12, 1990; a son, William Alan Carver; a grandson, Keith Carver; his parents, William and Estella (Jeffress) Carver; and a brother, Merle Carver. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2005, from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor David Storlie of the Southside Church of God officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Deerfield Cemetery.
