Donald Kenneth Biggs 's Obituary
Donald Kenneth Biggs, 86, of Alliance, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 5:12 am at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman, Ohio.
Born on August 29, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Lillion A. Biggs, he lived in Alliance for most of his life.
Donald was a veteran of Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U.S. Army for 2 years.
He was employed at American Steel Foundry and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles # 2174, where he loved to dance and socialize.
Donald loved to play horse-shoes in his spare time. He also loved to play Euchre as well as feeding birds & squirrels. Don was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather and will be missed my many, but his memories will always be with us.
Survivors include his wife, Betty L. (Lemasters) Biggs of the home, five daughters, Sue Biggs of Alliance, OH, Debbie (Richard) Eberling of Alliance, OH, Kathy (George) Yarwood of Alliance, OH, Linda (Eugene) Collins of Canton, OH, Brenda Biggs of Alliance, OH; two sons, Donald Biggs, Jr. of Alliance, OH, Clarence Biggs of Alliance, OH; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis (Phyllis) Biggs of Alliance, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two sisters, Patricia Campbell & Betty Ann Biggs.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Pastor Quint Bryan, of Sebring Friends Church officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
