Dixie Woodburn's Obituary
Dixie Woodburn, 69, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, December 04, 2007, at 7:30 a.m. at her home. She was born on September 29, 1938, in Olive Hill, KY, and lived in Alliance over fifty years. Dixie was a member of the Independent Baptist Church and worked as a nurse s aid. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Howard L. Woodburn; four sons, Dave (Lisa Caraballo) Woodburn of Deerfield, Howard "Jamie" (Michelle Lynch) Woodburn of Alliance, Phillip (Amanda) Woodburn of Alliance, and Billy Woodburn of Alliance; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six sisters, Madge Clark, Vada Holbrook, Hazel Lilley, and Bonnie Thomas, all of Alliance, Maggie Holbrook of North Benton, and Opal Holbrook of Olive Hill, KY; two brothers, Burl Middleton of Alliance, and Ernest Middleton of Olive Hill, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Frances (Stevens) Middleton; and a sister, Mabel Leishman. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, December 7, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
