Diane E. Steed 's Obituary
Diane E. (Stockman) Steed, 68, of Alliance, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:16 am at her home in Alliance.
Born on October 24, 1949 in Silver Springs, Maryland to Marshall Henry and Theresa Nellie (Binns) Stockman, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
Diane enjoyed watching soap operas and game shows, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her two daughters, Theresa (Gary) Scott of Alliance and Elizabeth (Spencer) Barker, Jr. of Alliance; her son, Charlie (Marie) Prather of Alliance; nine grandchildren, Ashley (Terry) Prather, Charlie Middleton, Michael Prather, Savanna (Dillon) Barker, Alexia Barker, Todd (Chey) Neumann, Sean (Britney) Neumann, Steven (Madison) Neumann and Brandon Green; four great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Conner, Brooklyn Barker, Hunter Middleton, and Makenzie Neumann; former daughter-in-law, Michelle Best of Deerfield; a brother, Roger Thompson of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Michael A. Steed, whom she married on July 14, 1984 and died on August 19, 1994; her grandson, Spencer Barker, III; a brother, Billy Thompson; and her parents.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Payne, of Alliance Baptist Temple, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
