Diane M. Denny's Obituary
Diane M. (Samblanet) Denny, 84, of Homeworth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 9:52 pm at St. Joseph Senior Living in Louisville, Ohio.
Born on April 16, 1939 in Canton, to Bernard and Catherine (Lair) Samblanet, she lived in the Alliance area all of her life.
A 1957 graduate of Alliance High School, Diane was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo.
Diane was employed at Alliance Machine Co., American Steel, Tasters Choice and Reams Floral.
She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at the childcare area at Concorde Wellness.
Diane enjoyed reading, knitting, needlepoint and playing cards and also meeting with her 1957 AHS classmates.
Survivors include her son, Scott (Vicki) Denny of Alliance; grandson, Samuel David Denny of Alliance; granddaughter, Rachel (Lucas) Wright of Akron; two great-grandchildren, Fiona and Finnian Wright; two brothers, Bernard (Cindy Handy) Samblanet and Michael (Sharon) Samblanet; a sister, Denise (John) Plazak; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, David Michael Denny, whom she married on May 6, 1961 and who died on July 11, 2021; her son, Jeffrey Denny; daughter, Laurie Ann Denny; and her parents.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Maximo.
