David L. Von Wolff Sr.'s Obituary
David L. Von Wolff Sr., 40, of Alliance, died on Thursday, April 18, 2002. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on April 29, 1961, he had lived in the Alliance area for seven years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he attended Stark State College and was employed as a support supervisor for ResCare / VOCA of Ohio in Louisville. He was a member of the Alliance Evangelical Friends Church where he was a Sunday School Assistant and was a member of the Henschen's Bowling League. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Sineri) Von Wolff, whom he married on May 19, 2001; a daughter, Angel McCall of Norfolk, Va.; a stepdaughter, Renee Veidt of Redding, Penn.; a son, David L. Von Wolff Jr. of Alliance; two stepsons, Robert Evans of Columbus, and Scott Evans of Jeffersonville, OH; three grandchildren, Alexandra Capri Fields, Mia Elise McCall and Ethan Elijah Von Wolff; seven step-grandchildren; father, Jerry Tolson of Gastonia, N.C.; four sisters, Crystal Cooke of Petersburg, W.Va., Nancy Beck of Alliance, Esther Capps of Greeley, Colorado, and Julianna Tolson of Penn.; three brothers, James Everett of Chesapeake, Va., Nathan Tolson of Montana, Daniel Tolson of Chesapeake, VA.; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his mother, Lola Louise Williamson Von Wolff. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, April 22, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Sams of the Alliance Evangelical Friends Church, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
