David R. Stout's Obituary
David R. Stout, 52, of Alliance, died on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on January 19, 1957 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance most of his life. David graduated from West Branch High School in 1975. Many people in Alliance know him as the owner of Stout City Water Delivery. David was a U. S. Navy veteran and served on the USS Coral Sea. He served stateside at Alameda Naval Air Station in California. Overall fitness was important, and David enjoyed lifting weights and playing tennis. He was a member of the U. S. T. A. and played locally at the Hall of Fame Tennis Center. He had played tennis during high school and during his service in the Navy. He is survived by his parents, Willard and Ada (Rowe) Stout of North Benton; two sisters, Tanya (James) McCracken of Beloit and Sheila (Todd) Howard of Alliance; three brothers, Mike Stout of Alliance, Robert (Lezlie) Stout of Yates Center, KS and Brian (Salina) Stout of Huxley, IA; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and several cousins. Preceding him in death was a niece, Brandi Stout. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, with military honors provided by the United States Navy as well as Salem Am Vets Post 45 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 892 will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
