David C. "Skiv" Skivolocki's Obituary
David C. "Skiv" Skivolocki, 57, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, 8:30 p.m. at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 15, 1949 in Alliance and lived in the Alliance and Homeworth areas all of his life. Mr. Skivolocki was a 1967 graduate of West Branch High School. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at Kent State University and then his MBA at Ashland University. David was employed at the Timken Company as a Senior Quality Analyst, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Gilmer) Skivolocki whom he married on November 6, 1971; a daughter, Jennifer Skivolocki of Japan; his mother, Margaret "Peg" (Penrod) Skivolocki of Alliance; two sisters, Rosemary (Ralph) Flenniken of Avon Park, FL, and Cathy Jones of Canton; a brother, John (Sandy) Skivolocki of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph "Sonny" Skivolocki. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 4, 2007, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. James A. Kolp, of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating.
