Darlene S. Stephens' Obituary
Darlene S. Stephens, 67, of North Benton, died on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2:15 a.m. at her home. She was born on April 25, 1943 in Akron, was a graduate of Garfield High School and had lived in North Benton for the past 40 years. Mrs. Stephens was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of their Hope Ministry. She also served on the Family Life Committee and was past Vice President of Parish Council She retired from Goodyear, where she was a legal secretary, to raise her six children. Darlene was a 47 year member of the American Business Women s Association. In her past-time, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially euchre. She is survived by her husband, Jim Stephens whom she married on September 4, 1965; five daughters, Lori Stephens of Alliance, Tami Stephens of Boardman, Julie (Dennis) Bichsel of Beloit, Keri (Ray) Steede of Damascus, and Niki (Mark) Antonini of Nashville, TN; a son, Jason (Tiffany) Stephens of Damascus; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann (Jim) Ashburn of Gadsden, AL and Nancy Corbett of Orrville; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Andrew and Mary (Drexler) Fedor; and a brother, Robert Fedor. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
