Darlene J. Adams' Obituary
Darlene J. Adams, 80, of Magnolia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 3, 2004, reuniting her with her husband, Edward, on their wedding anniversary. She fought a courageous battle with her health for many months. She was born in Bucyrus on March 17, 1924, she lived most of her life in Alliance before moving to Magnolia four years ago. Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Ronald Lidderdale of Magnolia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael G. and Evelyn M. Adams of Acworth, GA, and Edward and Rosie Adams, Jr. of West Bloomfield, MI; three grandchildren, Monica (Brandon) Bupp, Sarah Lidderdale, and Ronnie Lidderdale; three sisters, Mina Phaler of Galion, Annie Love of Canal Winchester, and Carol Caris of Galion; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Adams on December 12, 1997, (they were married on May 3, 1943); her parents, George W. and Hanah Mae (Scott) Purvis; two sisters, Vivian Withers and Maxine Purvis; and three brothers, James Purvis, Wilbur Purvis, and Delmer Purvis. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, May 6, 2004, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 6, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
