Daniel K. Markle's Obituary
Daniel K. Markle, 54, of Alliance, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 2:55 a.m. surrounded by his family. He was born on July 27, 1959 in Cuyahoga Falls and has lived in Alliance since 2004. He was a graduate of Webster County High School in Kentucky and attended Akron University. Dan was a Musician for the better part of his life. He played keyboards and/or sax for Smokin Walter, Vicious Cycle Band, Train of Thought, and The Show Must Go On. He was a member of Alliance Baptist Temple and ran the sound system for the church. Dan was also a member of, and Treasurer for, the Men's Hill Top Group in Alliance. Dan had a great love for music, his granddaughter Akali Pickles Freed and his children, Nikki and Jonathan. He also enjoyed working on computers and playing war games on the computer. Dan is survived by his wife, Janette M. Bondoni Markle, whom he married on October 15, 2005; his daughter, Nikkole (Chris) Freed of Alliance; his son, Jonathan Markle of Uniontown; granddaughter, Akali Freed; his parents, Berne and Wilma (Crowley) Pendergast of Akron; a sister, Tamie (Robert) Contois of Jackson, NJ; several nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Russell "Rusty" Markle, his father-in-law, James Bondoni and mother-in-law, Janet Bondoni. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Alliance Baptist Temple on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Randy Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
