Daniel Wayne "Danny" Anderson's Obituary
Daniel Wayne "Danny" Anderson, 58, of Alliance, passed away at approximately 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Alliance on March 16, 1945, he was a life resident of Alliance, a graduate of Alliance High School, and subsequently earned a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University in 1977. A US Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War during 1966-67, Mr. Anderson retired as an industrial engineer from Akro Corp. in Canton. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Alliance. Danny is survived by his wife, Mary Anne (Sexton) Anderson, they were married on Feb. 8, 1969; a daughter, Claudette of Alliance; three sons, Daniel of Alliance, Matthew of Dublin, and Mark of Alliance; a sister, Sherry Roosa of Marlboro; two brothers, Dennis and Berri Anderson, both of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Glen Anderson, Dorothy Patrick Anderson Meek, and stepfather, Warren B. Meek. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, November 21, 2003, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, November 21, 2003, at 11 :00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
