Danford Mallett's Obituary
Danford Mallett, 85, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1:10 pm at his home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on July 24, 1935 in Franklin Township, Ohio to Raymond and Grace (Robbins) Mallett, he lived in Alliance for most of his life.
A 1953 graduate of Alliance High School, Dan was a member of Alliance Church of Christ.
Dan was employed at Alliance Machine as a maintenance welder for 17 years. He moved to Tennessee in 1988 to work for Ford Motor Company in Nashville, retiring in 1999 after 25 years of service.
He and Bev returned to Alliance in 2019 to be closer to family.
Dan was an avid golfer, a member of the Alliance Country Club and a member of BPO Elks Lodge #467.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly S. (Edinger) Mallett, whom he married on June 29, 1972; five daughters, Peggy (Lou) Baxter of Alliance, Kathy Snyder of Canton, Linda Taylor of Lakewood, Susan (Tom) Gray of Carrollton and Sandi (Daniel) Codrea of Forest, VA; nine grandchildren, Heather, Sarah, Ryan, Anthony, Jamie, Randy, Olivia, Emily and Abby; and seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Mady, Aurelia, Kip, Zaidi, E.J. and Addilyn.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
There will be no funeral services held.
