Dana Buchanan 's Obituary
Dana “Dew” Buchanan, 47, of Sebring, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her home in Sebring.
She was born on November 28, 1968 in Flemmingsburg, Kentucky, and had lived in Sebring for most of her life.
She graduated from C.E. King High School in Channelview, TX.
Dana was employed as a bartender at Ira’s in Sebring and the Dante Alighieri Club where she was a member and played Mrs. Clause for their Christmas party with "Moon".
Dana enjoyed riding motorcycles, listening to the Greatful Dead, and enjoyed the company of her many friends and family especially her grandson, Jacob.
Survivors include her daughter, Brittney K. (William) Mellott of Sebring; her son, Matthew B. Balcerzak of Cranston, RI; two grandsons, Jacob David and Lucas Mellott; two granddaughters, Caitlin and Becca Mellott; her parents, Leo and Linda (Gillman) Young of Columbus, OH; two brothers, William (Laura) Snapp of Lancaster, OH and Shylo (Chanin) Young of Oshkosh, WI; a sister, Erin (Rusty) Alley of Springfield, OH; three nephews, Trevor Alley, Liam Young and Collin Young; three nieces, Shamblin Jones, Chloe Alley and Melanie Martinez; and numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding her in death was her grandmother, Wanda Bruce; great-grandparents, Columbus and Enos Gillman; and the love of her life, Carl “Moon” Wervey.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Friends and family are asked to wear their tie dye and/or Harley shirts and jeans. A Celebration of Her Life will immediately follow.
