Dale E. Weitz's Obituary
Dale E. Weitz, 74, of Sebring died on Sunday, July 27, 2003, at 7:10 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in East Palestine, on November 4, 1928, he had been a resident of the Alliance - Sebring area and was Lutheran by faith. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, he retired from Americana Art China of Sebring as a shipping clerk. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 76 of Sebring. Mr. Weitz is survived by a stepdaughter, Linda G. Morrison of Sebring; a sister, Vera Slifka of New Middletown; a brother, Charles Weitz of West Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Roy and Tracy Wheeler; 2 great grandchildren, Haley and Alex Wheeler; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace C. Weitz on October 6, 1998 (they were married on November 7, 1967); his parents, Carl and Vera (Brimlow) Weitz; a stepson Dennis Morrison; and two brothers, William Weitz and Calvin Weitz. Graveside funeral services, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will be held at Highland Memorial Park on Thursday, July 31, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David R. Harris of the Louisville Church of the Nazarene, officiating. There will be no calling hours. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
