Cynthia Monnette's Obituary
Cynthia L. "Cyndee" (Schweizer) Monnette, 75, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 6, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Born on October 12, 1946 in Canton, to George Martin and Mary (Margo) Schweizer, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
A graduate of Marlington High School, she also graduated from Aultman School of Nursing.
Cyndee was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
She retired from Allergy, Respiratory and Sleep Center in Canton as a Clinical Research Coordinator after 26 years of service.
She volunteered at the Alliance Food Pantry, the YWCA, the Salvation Army, and several other local organizations over the years.
Cyndee loved to travel, especially to the beach. She was a big Cleveland Indians fan and didn’t miss a game. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Monnette, whom she married on January 14, 1967; her daughter, Michelle (Dennis) Ferrall of Louisville; son, Michael Monnette of Canton; three grandchildren, Chloe Ferrall, Cameron Monnette and Claire Monnette; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and two sisters, Mary Jo Stertzbach and Patty Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 pm, with Deacon Jon M. Coventry, of Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating.
