Constance "Sue" Marshall's Obituary
Constance "Sue" Marshall, 69, of Alliance, died on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 1:45 p.m. at Roselawn Terrace. She was born on July 5, 1939 in Lafayette, Ohio and lived in Alliance most of her life. Sue attended Alliance High School and Christ United Methodist Church. Mrs. Marshall was a retail associate for many area stores. She spent her working career at Alliance stores such as Grants, Hecks, Kings, Value City, and most recently Dunham s. She loved working and taking care of her family. In her past time she enjoyed playing bingo and card club. She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Haney of Alliance, Pam (Mike) DeGirolamo of Alliance and Diana (Brian) Stanford of Las Vegas, NV; two sons, Mel (Jeff) Marshall, Jr. of Alliance and John (Chris) Marshall of Caseyville, IL; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Maribel Graves of Urbana; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Melvin L. Marshall, Sr. on December 28, 2003, whom she married on July 8, 1955; her parents, Lloyd and Hazel (Cullen) Vicars; three sisters, Peg Micketti, Rosalie Brown and Jean Hall; and six brothers, Max, Ted, John, Bill, Bobby and Joy Allen Vicars. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, February 2, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Terry Vicars officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
