Connie Kinsey's Obituary
Connie (DeGirolamo) Kinsey was born in Alliance, OH on December 8, 1930 to the late Michael and Jennie DeGirolamo. She passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at 5:05 pm at home, while under Hospice care.
Connie was a secretary at B&W Research, and was a former owner of Al & Dave’s Pizza in Minerva. Her husband Jim passed away in July 1997 after 39 years of marriage. She has spent most of her life in the Alliance/Homeworth Ohio area.
Survivors include her two sisters Lydia DeGirolamo and Lucy DeGirolamo, her two sons Jim (Karen) Kinsey of Charleston SC and Jon (Laurie) Kinsey of Southbury CT, 2 grandchildren: Jennifer Kinsey and Katie (Aaron) Heath, 6 step grandchildren: Amanda Laird, Lisa Strutt, Toni Robison, Damian Steinert, Jeremiah Steinert, Isaiah Steinert, 1 great-grandchild Benjamin Heath, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
Connie was a volunteer at Alliance Community Hospital, a member of Alliance Community Hospital Auxiliary, a past member of the Washington Ruritans, and is a former member of St. Gabriel’s Women’s Club. She also regularly volunteered at the Food Pantry and the American Red Cross.
The family will receive friends at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 9:30 – 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am, with Fr. Joe Ruggieri as celebrant. Interment will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. A light lunch will follow immediately after the cemetery service at Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, Connie suggested memorials may be made to: Holy Cross Academy – Regina Coeli Campus; Alliance Community Hospital Auxiliary; Alliance Community Hospital Hospice; or St. Gabriel’s Women’s Club.
