Colette Schillig's Obituary
Colette L. (Grisez) Schillig, 74, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 5:06 am at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton, Ohio.
Born on July 29, 1949 in Alliance to Basil and Gretchen (Newton) Grisez, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
Colette was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo.
A 1967 graduate of Alliance High School, she also graduated from the Columbus Business University in 1969.
Colette was employed at Shoebilee and K-Mart as a salesclerk and retired after 12 years of service.
Colette bowled in both ladies and couples bowling leagues for over 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Schillig whom she married on December 4, 1971; son, Brian Schillig of Laurinburg, NC; daughter, Laura Schillig (Kevin Kingsborough) of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren, Ayla Schillig, Korben Schillig, Joel Kingsborough and Brendan Kingsborough; a brother, David (Carol) Grisez of Gilbert, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. G. David Weikart as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maximo.
