Cliff A. Craven's Obituary
On March 11, 2018, Clifford “Cliff” Allan Craven, 73, of Alliance, left this world to be reunited with Jesus and his heavenly family, following a lengthy illness.
Those who knew Cliff will always remember him for his sense of humor, kindness, and compassion. He was an example for his family, teaching both his children and grandchildren the meaning of love through countless, daily selfless acts. Even during his worst days, his family always came first!
Cliff was a graduate of West Branch High School and proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.
He worked hard all of his life as a carpenter, property manager, and an amazing care giver for his baby girl.
Cliff is survived by his wife “the love of his life”of nearly 40 years Mary Lou (Weber) Craven, his son David (Dannette) Poteet, his brother Russ Craven, 10 grandchildren whom he loved dearly, his special buddy, Alea and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his parents Al and Betty Craven, sister Karen Jackson, son Kip Craven, son Billy Poteet, and his special angel daughter Jennie Poteet who best reflected Cliff's caring, unselfish, and kind nature. He gave his life so she could have hers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Pastor Dale Gruver, of First Church of God, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
