Cleoda Mae Moulin's Obituary
Cleoda Mae (Villars) Moulin, 100, of Alliance, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on March 18, 1913 in Mason City, WV, she lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Moulin was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Alliance since 1982. She and her husband Arthur had served with the Civil Air Patrol. She had previously been employed at Taylorcraft Aviation in Alliance during WWII and had retired from Manhattan Cleaners, where she was employed for 50 years as a Seamstress & Presser. In her past-time, she had enjoyed her many trips with her husband & sewing for others, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending family gatherings. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Higgins-Smith of Alliance, OH; 6 grandchildren: Elizabeth Evers, Chris Evers, Michael (Val) Higgins, Donna (Ron) Herderick, Lynette (David) Kester, & Mark (Tracy) Higgins; 12 great-grandchildren, Stacy (Lucas) Bettis, Jeremy (Jill) Schlarb, Matthew (Erin) Schlarb, Brandon (Rachel) French, Michael Higgins, Abby Schlarb, Anthony (Katie) Higgins, David Kester, Caleb Higgins, Elisabeth Higgins, Gabriel Higgins & Isabella Higgins; 14 great-great-grandchildren, Jakob Krug, Wyatt Bettis, Kali Betis, Ben Schlarb, Drew Schlarb, Faith Schlarb, Adam Schlarb, Ian Schlarb, Anna Schlarb, Brandon French, Jr., Logan French, Morgan French, Madison French & Cayden Higgins; a sister, Ella Winwood of Alliance; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Arthur C. Moulin on September 8, 1982, whom she married in July of 1962; a son, Vernon L. Evers; 3 step-sons, Frank Evers, Donald Evers, & Johnny Evers; a step-daughter, Alice Peters; her parents, Perl and Mamie (Fetty) Villars; four sisters, Selphie Johnson, Vernie Anderson, Dora Fox, and Pearl Raabe; and two brothers, Donald Villars and Oscar Villars. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Grow and Rev. William Gross of the First Assembly of God Church of Alliance officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
