Claudia Rose Kirksey's Obituary
Claudia Rose Kirksey, 53, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at 3:01 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Born in Alliance on October 12, 1948, she had been a resident of Alliance all of her life. A certified nursing assistant, she was employed at Altercare of Alliance. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking and her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Benny L. Kirksey, Jr., whom she married on March 30, 1972; two daughters, Angelica and Lucia Kirksey, both of Alliance; two sons, Aaron Graham of Akron, and Benny L. Kirksey III of Alliance; four grandchildren, Alexandria, Isaiah, Dominic, and Dakota; her father and step-mother, Tom and Shelby Jean Gazia of Marlboro; two sisters, Nanette Weeks of Punta Gorda, FL, and Thomasina Harrison of Texas; one brother, Kevin Gazia of Panama City, FL; one aunt, Ruth Zigler; one uncle, Jim Gazia; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her mother, Rosemary Gazia; and several aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2002, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Limmie Snell, officiating. There are no calling hours.
